A leading provider of Audio Visual (AV) services to corporate, education, government and house of worship customers, is looking for an experienced Remote Audio Visual Design Engineer to work on commercial AV integration projects in the Southeast region of the United States.  The ideal candidate will be CTS or CTS-D certified and have at least 5-10 years of overall AV industry related experience of which at least the last 5  years as a Design Engineer. Position Responsibilities: The AV Design Engineer will be responsible for reviewing site surveys, designing customer solutions based on requirements, estimating, and producing documentation suitable for sales presentations and system installation, and control system programming scopes. Review site survey documentation produced by Sales reps along with needs Assessment reports. Prepare proposals and designs for audiovisual system integrations and installations. Create construction and system integration documents (CAD Drawings, Blue Prints and CSI Specifications) Communicate and coordinate technical design solutions with clients, installation teams and vendors Provide sales and technical staff with high end technical support on both a pre- and post-sales basis including attending project meetings. Assist with A/V system commissioning- Crestron, Extron, Biamp, Clearone, BSS, Cisco and Polycom VTC. Knowledge of AMX, Crestron or Extron control system programming, implementation, and testing for System Integration client projects. Leading programming code reviews as required. Contributing to design review and code review as required. Develop and maintain knowledge of current and new technologies that company offers. Leading resolution of field code issues. Required Experience and Qualifications: At least 10 years of overall Audio Visual commercial solution/services industry experience. At least 3 years of recent experience as a hands on AV systems design engineer. A proven track record in AV systems engineering and control systems commissioning Ability to write a scope of work and finalize a system deployment and build-out. AutoCAD or StarDraw experience Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and work well with other people. Education and Certifications Bachelors Degree (Preferred) CTS Certification with CTS-D as highly preferable .

A leading provider or audio visual and information technology solutions to corporate, government and education clients throughout the northeast is looking for an enthusiastic Audio Visual Field Engineer with basic AV control system programming support experience based out of their Suburban NJ  office just northwest of NYC.  What is an Audio Visual Field Engineer? The Field Engineer is a mid-level technician with experience in system installation, cabling, wiring and troubleshooting audio visual systems or IT networks that has a keen attention to detail and a growing passion for the development of software solutions for control or sound processing.  In addition the Field Engineer will assist with control systems programming and debugging working closely with the Lead Programmer, Project Manager, Project Engineer and technicians. Program and configure audio visual equipment such AMX, Crestron and Extron control systems including DSPs, matrix mixers, switchers and codec' s. At least two years of programming or commissioning experience in the professional commercial audio/video integration industry required. Ability to create WLANs for wireless communication of devices. The ideal audio visual guru will have at least 5-8  years of audio visual event technology experience working in a hotel or convention  type  events  environment and 5 years as a Director of Event Technology. Position Description: Oversee all in-house hotel meeting and event audio visual  operations.  Work  closely with hotel audio visual management, support staff and event planners to oversee all audio visual operations on property. Work with  Event Planners, Clients, Technicians and Facility Managers to ensure that all audio visual components are implemented in such a way as to provide a solution that meets the demands, not only of individuals involved, but also the goal(s) of the particular event. Overall project management responsibilities. Plan, organize, schedule, and supervise resources and activities required to meet project deliverables. In charge of supervising and scheduling the staffing of technicians for all hotel meetings and events using a combination of internal and  freelance staff as needed. Perform site visits with customers and/or event planners to determine their individual standards for onsite productions as it relates to audio visual technician support. Work with customers prior to, the day of, and during meetings and events to ensure the proper staffing and make real time adjustments as necessary. Be prepared to be a contingency technician on an exception basis which may include assist with configuration, setup and tear down of audio visual equipment in addition to physical configuration (lifting involved) and connecting and interfacing all audio visual equipments. Respond to technical RFPs and RFQs. Required Skills and Experience: Minimum of 5  years of audio visual event  management in a Director role with experience in a hospitality environment such as  hotels,  conference  and/or  meeting facility environments.
