Job Description


Our client, an exciting and growing provider of technology solutions for commercial customers, is looking for a  Systems Administrator to support  their  company' s  data network, voice,  server and  desktop support needs. The ideal candidate will have strong "hands on" IT  technical support experience, have current "hands on" end user PC and MAC desktop support skills.

Position Description:

You  must have the ability to work collaboratively and effectively with all levels within the organization. You will be responsible for day-to-day support of PC/MAC desktop, server, network, telephony, security and mobile support for local and remote staff.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Administration / support / maintenance of Windows Server 2003/2008 domain
  • Administration / support / maintenance of cloud-based Hosted Exchange (Microsoft Exchange 2010) e-mail environment
  • Provide high-quality end-user support to users working in our corporate and satellite offices, and virtual/remote workers
  • Set-up / administer laptop and desktop machines
  • Support of Voice and Data Network systems.
  • Desktop Support: Apple iMAC, Windows 7-8, Microsoft Office 2007-2013, Adobe Acrobat  and other in-house business applications
  • Support copying, scanning, and printing technologies
  • Administer VoIP telephone system and iPhone/Android mobile telecommunications platform
  • Maintain departmental documentation and records
  • Interface and work alongside vendors and third-party service providers
  • Pro-actively make recommendations for improvements to infrastructure and technological environment
  • Manage all system security
  • Maintain awareness of new technologies and provide recommendations for future IT direction to senior management
  • Manage and support all related initiatives including integration of acquisitions, software and hardware upgrades, server migrations and initiatives to consolidate software and improve ease of communications and collaboration in a multi-office environment
  • Maintain standard business continuity practices such as backup, outage, and disaster recovery plans

Experience and Skills:
  • 3+ years of experience in the field of Information Technology with hands-on technical system support experience of desktop, server and data/voice network systems.
  • Must have strong MAC and PC Desktop support experience
  • 3+ years hands on network administrator support experience
  • Strong Microsoft server skills required
  • Expert Knowledge of voice, date, email, server and desktop support support processes

Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related discipline preferred
