Job Description
A leading national provider of audio visual and collaboration technology solutions is seeking an experienced Director of Audiovisual Engineering to lead their growing Audiovisual Technology Division for the Great Lakes Region out of Buffalo, NY.
Experience Required
- Management experience required
- Minimum of 3 years of audio-visual engineering industry experience
- Understanding the AV bidding process working with large clients is highly desired
- Experience interacting with architects, consultants, and electrical contractors is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication proficiency
- Team-oriented individual with a leadership mindset
- Ability to attend to and prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic team environment
- High level of attention to detail
- AVIXA and other industry-related certifications nice to have
- Develops strategic planning for the direction and control of the audio-visual engineering team
- Creates, implements, and refines processes to improve the quality and efficiency of audio-visual engineering activities
- Monitors ERP system workflows daily for audio-visual engineering requests and assigns the appropriate resources
- Conducts weekly, one-on-one, work-in-progress meetings with audio-visual engineers to identify obstacles and ensure the timely completion of work
- Mentors' audio-visual team in the resolution of technical and non-technical issues
- Reviews drawings & designs produced by the audio-visual engineering team for quality and consistency
- Creates and implements a comprehensive training roadmap for audio-visual engineers to ensure that skills align with the sales objectives and corporate product portfolio
- Conducts employee reviews at regular intervals to provide constructive feedback and guidance to audio-visual team members
- Drives standardization and consistency of audio-visual engineering practices and methods across multiple offices and regions
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience
