A leading provider of innovative audio visual solutions, catering to a diverse range of clients across various industries, is seeking a talented and versatile Audio Visual - Remote Project Support Technician to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while supporting our clients in managing installations and providing technical expertise.
The ideal candidate should have experience with Audio Visual corporate PRO-AV installations and commissioning systems like Crestron and Biamp, possess a strong understanding of high-end visual menus and digital signage, and be comfortable wearing multiple hats to meet the demands of this dynamic role.
Responsibilities:
1. Remote Support: Provide remote assistance and technical support to clients, troubleshooting audio visual system issues, and resolving them promptly to ensure uninterrupted operations.
2. Installation Management: Collaborate with clients, project managers, and on-site teams to oversee the installation of audio visual systems, ensuring adherence to project timelines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
3. Commissioning: Perform commissioning tasks for audio visual systems, including programming, configuring, and testing equipment to ensure optimal functionality and performance.
4. Hands-On Expertise: Be willing and capable of performing hands-on tasks as needed, including equipment installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance, both remotely and on-site.
5. Training and Documentation: Provide training to clients and end-users on the operation and maintenance of audio visual systems, creating detailed documentation and user guides when required.
6. System Upgrades and Enhancements: Collaborate with clients to identify opportunities for system upgrades and enhancements, providing recommendations based on industry best practices and client requirements.
7. High-End Visual Menus and Digital Signage: Utilize your expertise in high-end visual menus and digital signage to design and implement visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces.
8. Project Coordination: Assist project managers in coordinating activities, ensuring efficient communication between stakeholders, and managing project deliverables.
9. Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution: Analyze and diagnose complex audio visual system issues, proposing effective solutions and implementing corrective actions in a timely manner.
10. Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in the audio visual industry, continuously expanding your knowledge base to provide innovative solutions to clients.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Strong experience with Commissioning Audio Visual systems such as Crestron and Biamp.
- Proficiency in designing, implementing and supporting high-end visual menus and digital signage.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex audio visual system issues.
- Hands-on experience with audio visual equipment installation, configuration, and maintenance.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and project teams.
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently, managing multiple tasks, and meeting deadlines.
- Flexibility to travel occasionally for on-site support and installations, as required.
- Previous experience in a remote work environment is preferred.
- Industry certifications such as CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or related certifications are a plus.
